Services
Work is structured as a fixed-scope project for a defined outcome or a monthly retainer for ongoing advice and delivery.
Cloud and platform architecture
EgosTech designs and reviews platforms on AWS, IONOS Cloud, and Hetzner, running Kubernetes or Docker Swarm, and works on the parts that are expensive to get wrong: network and account topology, identity and access, cost and capacity, and the delivery pipelines that put changes into production. Infrastructure is defined in code and handed over, so your own team can run it without us. A platform review ends with written findings. Builds follow an agreed architecture.
Site reliability and operations
We set up the signals that show degradation before users notice, together with on-call rotations and escalation procedures that the team can follow. Post-incident reviews end in tracked actions. The aim is availability that holds up when traffic is heaviest. Clients use this work for operational readiness or help with a specific reliability problem.
Security, compliance and data sovereignty
Information security reviews, GDPR-aligned data handling, and architectures that keep sensitive data on infrastructure you control. This matters most for regulated work and for public-sector data that should stay in the country. The approach draws on Alex Thomae’s experience from an earlier role at Commerz Real, where he ran systems for a business audited by the European Central Bank and BaFin. The controls are proportionate to the risk.
Engineering leadership
EgosTech works with platform and DevOps teams remotely or on-site. Alex can take an interim leadership role or provide ongoing support, setting technical direction and improving delivery pipelines and quality gates. Team leads stay involved so they can carry the changes forward. Alex brings more than 15 years of experience leading engineering teams, most recently as Head of Cloud and Platform Engineering.
Transformation and operating model
EgosTech helps organisations decide how engineering teams should be structured and work together, then prepares teams for the change. Alex led the DevOps transformation at Deutsche Bank. The programme defined the division’s operating model and assessed its DevOps practices. It included an internal DevOps school.

Every engagement starts with a scoping conversation and a written proposal that sets out the outcome, timing, and price. Most work is delivered as a fixed-scope project or a monthly retainer.
